Mouldlife FX3 Lifecasting Alginate is blue in colour and sets in approximately 3-5 minutes, depending on water temperature.
For small impressions you should use a powder:water ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. For larger impressions this can be increased to 1:3 or 1:4.
This alginate is a kelp based product - totally safe to use on skin and will pick up extremely fine details.
Can i cast into this with resin ?
Unfortunately you cannot use resins in moulds made from alginate as the moisture content will contaminate the resin causing an under cured cast.
